Top OTT Series, Movies, News Channels streamed on Smartphones (25th April – 16th May)

BARC Nielsen in its Edition 9 of TV + Smartphone consumption report titled ‘How are Media Habits Changing as India Enters Week 9 of the Lockdown’ has revealed the Top Original OTT series, Syndicated Series, Movies, and Video News channel streamed on OTT platforms in recent times (25th April – 16th May).

Top Video News Channels in recent times on Smartphone

As per BARC Nielsen data for Video News channels streamed From April 25th to 16th May on YouTube, JioTV, Hotstar, MX Player & Zee5 Aaj Tak dominated on the digital front as well bagging the number 1 position.

ABP stood second, with India TV at 4th, Zee News at 5^th, BBC Hindi News at 6^th, NDTV at 7^th, TV9 Telugu at 8^th, Rajasthan Patrika at 9^th, and NDTV at 10^th position respectively.

Top Movies in recent Times on Smartphone

BARC Nielsen data based on content from Amazon Prime, Hotstar, MX Player (online), Netflix, Voot, Zee5 From 25th April to 16th May reveals that Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar content dominated with 9 titles in the Top 10 belonging to APV and Disney+ Hotstar. Netflix had a lone title Extraction in the Top 10 at 4^th position.

Baaghi 3 bagged the top position, with Thappad at 2^nd, Angrezi Medium at 3^rd, Extraction at 4^th, Bala at 5^th, The Lion King at 6^th, Avengers Endgame at 7^th, Bhoot Part One – The Haunted Ship at 8^th, Jumanji: The Next Level at 9^th followed by Joker at the last position at 10^th.

Top Original Series in recent times on Smartphone

As per BARC Nielsen data based on content from Amazon Prime, Hotstar, MX Player (online), Netflix, Voot, Zee5 From 25th April to 16th May, Mastram from MX Player bagged the first position.

This was followed by Paatal Lok at 2^nd, Hundred at 3^rd, Money Heist at 4^th, Ek Thi Begum at 5^th, Four More Shots Please at 6^th, Special Ops at 7^th, Never Have I Ever at 8^th, Bhaukaal at 9^th, and XXX at 10^th.

Top Syndicated Series in recent times on Smartphone

BARC Nielsen data based on content from Amazon Prime, Hotstar, MX Player (online), Netflix, Voot, Zee5 From 25th April to 16th May reveals the varying interests of smartphone users with Top 10 seeing presence of mythological shows and at the same modern age syndicated series.

Mahabharat on Disney+ Hotstar bagged the first spot. This was followed by Size Matters at 2^nd, Kavita Bhabhi at 3^rd, Charm Sukh at 4^th, Mahabharatam at 5^th, Doraemon at 6^th, Mona Home Delivery at 7^th, RadhaKrishn at 8^th, Yeh Rishta at 9^th, and Right or Wrong at 10^th.
