Disney and Star India announced the official launch of leading Indian streamer, Hotstar in Singapore. After operating on an invite-only basis for more than six months in the market for Indian migrant workers, the streamer is gearing for an official launch on November 1. Singapore is the second South Asian market after Indonesia to get a version of Hotstar. The independent launch of Hotstar suggests that Disney is planning to launch Disney+ as a standalone service in the country.
Hotstar in Singapore will be carrying Star India’s television serials, Hotstar Specials, and films along with live sports much along the lines how the streamer operates in international markets like the US, UK, and Canada. As a launch offer, the streamer will be offering four league matches for free. Apart from IPL 2020, the streamer promises to bring IPL 2021, Asia Cup, ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in the first year.

The service is priced at S$ 69.98 annually. Star India has also collaborated with Star Hub to make the service available through Indian+ subscription priced at S$15 a month on a 24-month contract or S$25 a month on a 12-month contract.
