Ever been in a situation where you book an Ola cab, only to have your assigned driver call you and ask about your drop location or mode of payment and then cancel your ride? Frustrating isn’t it? Ola may have seemingly found a solution to this issue for good. Ola will soon start displaying the complete details about an upcoming ride to the driver so that they can take an informed decision when accepting or rejecting the lead.

Ola had been facing constant consumer backlash on account of repeated ride cancellations by the driver-partners on account of unfavourable drop locations or payment methods. Some drivers do not prefer visiting a certain location on account of fears of not getting a return ride-booking from there, some others prefer being paid directly in cash on the completion of the ride and not through online payment modes.
As of now, Ola does not share the details about the drop location and payment mode with the drivers, who get these details only after the pickup is successful. But now the company will share all these details with the driver-partners so that they make an informed decision when accepting the booking and it minimises the risk of ride cancellation post-acceptance.
