Realme V5 5G launched with 90Hz display and Dimensity 720 SoC

Realme has launched the Realme V5 5G under the new smartphone V-series. It is the company’s first mid-range 5G smartphone which will exclusively be available in the Chinese market. 

Realme V5 5G features a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD hole-punch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate and 90.7 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. 

This handset is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 720 octa-core processor which supports dual-mode 5G and paired with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It runs on Realme UI based on Android 10.

In terms of photography, a quad-camera setup is present at the back consisting of a 48 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP 119-degree ultra-wide sensor, a 2 MP macro unit, and a 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16 MP camera for selfies and video calling.

It packs a massive 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support through USB Type-C port. The Fingerprint sensor is mounted on the power button on right and the 3.5mm headphone jack is available on this phone. 

The Realme V5 5G is priced at CNY 1,399 (around Rs. 15,000) for the 6 GB + 128 GB storage variant while the 8 GB + 128 GB model costs CNY 1,899 (around Rs. 20,400). It will be available in 3 colour options- Silver Winged Boy, Blue, and Breaking Light. Pre-booking for this device has already started on the Realme website while its sale will begin on August 7. Realme is providing offers such as free earphones and half-year extended warranty on pre-booking.
