RailTel to offer 13 OTT services to Railwire Broadband subscribers under Railwire Satrang Unlimited Plans

RailTel has launched broadband offerings to provide OTT (Over-The-Top) services to customers of its retail broadband service Railwire. The PSU will offer OTT as a value-added service (VAS) to Railwire subscribers. Under the new proposition, 13 OTT services will be offered to Railwire subscribers bundled with truly unlimited broadband plans named under the ‘Railwire SATRANG’ canvas.

The service provider will offer multiple plans which will become available to the existing 4.65 lakh Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) Railwire subscribers & new subscribers across India. The OTT services can be viewed on Smart TVs, Laptops, and Smart Phones.

Railwire Broadband customers will be able to consume content from OTTs like VOOT, Hungama Movies & TV Shows, MX Player, ALT Balaji, EPICON, ZEE5, SonyLIV, Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar, Eros Now, SunNXT, AHA Telugu, and Hungama Music Pro. The customers can watch content from the aforementioned OTT services once they subscribe to OTT bundled broadband plans.

The PSU claims to be offering cost-effective OTTs through its OTT bundled Railwire broadband plans in comparison to buying individual OTTs by broadband customers from the open market.

Railwire SATRANG plans will allow its broadband users to watch their favourite content on the go with the option for multi-screen usage at any point in time. There will be 150+ TV channels along with multiple OTT packs. The OTT offerings are comprehensive and will allow broadband users to watch live streaming and past content at their convenience.
