Public sector undertaking (PSU) RailTel Corporation of India Ltd today in a regulatory filing announced that it had received an Advance Purchase Order from state owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) amounting to Rs 25.46 crores per annum excluding GST. The company has received the purchase order from BSNL for commissioning of the Point-to-Point Links.
The Advance Purchase Order issued for the said work by BSNL will be valid for a period of one year. The order can however be further extended by two years, RailTel said in a BSE filing.
Point-to-Point links provide a path from one fixed point to another fixed point allowing streamline communication links between two points. Point-to-Point networks locally consist of two nodes connected by the internet and usually delivered on a dedicated leased line.
RailTel’s pan India network comprises various technologies maintained by its network operations centers (NOCs) at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Secunderabad to provide VPN, point-to-point leased line to enterprises, public sector banks, defense organizations, and educational institutions.
RailTel last week also bagged Rs 105.82 crores work from Ministry of Railways for upgradation of signaling at different stations with a tenure of 18 months for completion of aforesaid works.
