Oppo A17 with 6.56-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, 5000mAh battery launched in India

Oppo has launched the Oppo A17 smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.56-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, 50-megapixel primary camera, a 5000mAh battery, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs on the Android 12 operating system out of the box with ColorOS 12.1 customization on top.

Oppo A17 features a 6.56-inch HD+ (1612 × 720 pixels) with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 12nm chipset paired with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. It also supports a microSD card via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Oppo A17 includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.8 aperture. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel camera. The phone is equipped with a non-removable 5000mAh lithium polymer battery.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro-USB port for charging. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 164.2 x 75.6 x 8.3 mm and weighs 189 grams.

The Oppo A17 is priced at Rs. 12499 for the single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. It comes in Midnight Black and Sunlight Orange color options and is available from Oppo India e-store and retail stores in the country. The company is also providing one-year screen protection and an extended warranty for Rs. 1,099.
