At the OnePlus Winter Edition launch event, the company has launched OnePlus Buds Z2 true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds as a successor to the 2020 OnePlus Buds Z earphones. It was launched along with the OnePlus 9RT smartphone. These earbuds were unveiled first in China, three months ago.
Specifications
The OnePlus Buds Z2 have larger 11mm dynamic drivers and it supports active noise cancellation for sounds up to 40dB. There are three built-in microphones for calling and ANC functionality. To hear nearby sounds these buds have a new transparency mode.
In terms of durability, they come with an IP55 rating for sweat, dust and water resistance whereas its charging case has an IPX4 rating for water resistance. Each earbud weighs 4.5 grams, while the case weighs 40.5 grams. For connectivity, the buds come with Bluetooth 5.2 support and offer an ultra-low latency of 94ms.
The earbuds have basic touch controls for playback, voice assistant, call management and are packed with 40mAh batteries that can provide up to seven hours of continuous playback. The charging case, on the other hand, has a 520mAh battery, giving a total playback time of 38 hours. According to the company, these buds provide 5 hours of usage with 10 minutes of charging.
Pricing and Availability
The OnePlus Buds Z2 is priced at Rs. 4,999 and it will be available in two colour options- Obsidian Black and Pearl White. Its first sale began on January 17 via OnePlus’ official website while the regular sale will begin from January 18 online through Amazon, Flipkart and offline via authorised retail stores.
