ZTE’s Nubia has launched the Nubia Z30 Pro in China. The new flagship smartphone is a rebranded version of ZTE AXON 30 Ultra with a few changes. It has a five-layer micron graphene as thin as 50um and metal middle frame heat dissipation and VC liquid-cooled soaking plate to keep the thermals in check.

Specifications

The Nubia Z30 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ 144Hz AMOLED screen having a 360Hz touch sampling rate, 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 93.45% screen-to-body ratio, 10-bit colour depth, 100% DCI-P3 colour space, and SGS Low Blue Light Eye Care certification. The display has a centred punch-hole as well as an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5nm Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 660 GPU, 16GB dual-channel LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. It runs on Nubia UI 9.0 based on Android 11.

The handset features a quad-camera setup on the back consisting of a 64MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 64MP secondary sensor with a 120° ultra-wide-angle lens, another 64MP camera, and an 8MP telephoto sensor equipped with OIS. While for selfies and video calls, the phone has a 16MP shooter on the front.

In terms of connectivity, the phone supports dual-SIM, 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and GPS. It sports dual stereo speakers with DTS X: Ultra and is backed by a 4,200mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging which can fully charge it in just 15 minutes. Other sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. 

Pricing & Availability

The Nubia Z30 Pro price starts at CNY 4,999 (around Rs. 56,800) for the 8GB + 256GB variant while the 12GB + 256GB model will cost CNY 5,399 (around Rs. 61,300). These variants will be available in two colours: Interstellar Silver and Vast Black. The top variant with 12GB + 512GB storage configuration is priced at CNY 5,999 (around Rs. 68,100) and this will be available only in Black Gold Legend colour. It is already up for pre-orders in China via Nubia’s official website, JD.com, Tmall, Suning and other online and offline channels whereas the first sale is slated to begin on May 25 at 10 am.
