Nokia has launched the Nokia G60 5G smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ 120Hz refresh rate display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, 5G connectivity, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 4500mAh battery with up to two days of battery life. Nokia G60 5G runs on the Android 12 operating system out of the box, and the company promises to deliver up to three Android upgrades. Further, the phone’s back cover is built using 100 percent recycled plastic, while the frame is made of 60 percent recycled plastic materials. Nokia G60 5G comes with an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.

Nokia G60 5G features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 500 nits of peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G (6 nm) chipset paired with Adreno 619 GPU, 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. It also supports a MicroSD card for expandable storage but uses a shared SIM slot.

In terms of optics, the Nokia G60 5G sports a triple rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultrawide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, it has an 8-megapixel sensor on the front with an f/2.0 aperture lens. The phone packs a non-removable 4500mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging with QC2.0 and PD3.0 technology. It is claimed to deliver up to two days of battery life on a single charge.

Connectivity options include dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax-ready, Bluetooth version 5.1, NFC, eSIM, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE, 5G connectivity, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and OTG. 5G bands supported are – International: n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n28, n40, n38/ n41, n77, n78; LATAM: n1, n3, n5, n7, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n78. Sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light, proximity, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Lastly, the phone measures 165.99 x 75.93 x 8.61 mm and weighs 190 grams.

Pricing and availability

Nokia G60 5G is priced at Rs. 29,999 for the single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone comes in Black and Ice color options and is available for pre-order via the Nokia e-store and leading retailers in India. It will go on sale across the country starting November 8, 2022. Customers purchasing Nokia G60 5G smartphone will get a free Nokia Power Earbuds Lite worth Rs. 3,599.

Why are they even trying at this point? Or should I say are they even trying? Even the fanboys have moved on now.
Forget about specs. Even design-wise, it looks like an under 10k smartphone.
