No recommendation to DCC regarding reserve price of sale of 8300 MHz: MoS Devusinh Chauhan
TRAI has made no recommendations to DCC for the reserve price of sale of 8300 MHz, said MoS Devusinh Chauhan in Lok Sabha yesterday.

Minister of State for Communications yesterday in a statement laid in the Lok Sabha said that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had not made any recommendations to the Digital Communications Commission (DCC) regarding the reserve price of sale of 8300 MHz. The statement came in response to an unstarred question regarding the reserve price of sale of 8300 MHz.
Chauhan further added that fresh recommendations had been sought from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) by the Ministry of Communications for the auction of available spectrum.
The 5G spectrum auction will be conducted this year to facilitate the rollout of 5G mobile services within 2022-23 by private telecom operators. TRAI is currently working on its recommendations for the spectrum auction which is likely to come out by March whereas the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is simultaneously working on the preparation for the auctions by readying the NIA and other documents.
