Motorola Moto G 5G

Motorola has launched the affordable 5G smartphone, the Moto G 5G, in India. The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC and features a 6.7-inch display with a hole-punch design. Moto G 5G runs on Android 10 out of the box.

Moto G 5G specifications

Motorola Moto G 5G features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) LTPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by an octa-core (2 x 2.2 GHz Kryo 570 & 6 x 1.8 GHz Kryo 570) Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G (8 nm) chipset paired with Adreno 619 GPU, 6GB RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It also supports a microSD card, up to 1TB, but uses a shared SIM slot.

Moto G 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup of 48 MP f/1.7 primary sensor, 8 MP f/2.2 118-degree ultrawide-angle lens, and a 2 MP f/2.4 macro sensor. For taking selfies and making video calls, it has a 16 MP f/2.2 camera on the hole-punch display. The rear camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps and Full-HD recording at 30/60fps. The phone is fueled by a 5000mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.1, 5G, 4G LTE, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS/ GALILEO, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. Sensors include proximity, magnetometer, accelerometer, gyroscope, and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The phone measures 166 x 76 x 10 mm and weighs 212 grams.

Pricing and availability

Motorola Moto G 5G is priced at Rs. 20,999 for the single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It comes in Volcanic Gray and Frosted Silver color options. The phone will be available to purchase via Flipkart, and the first sale is scheduled for December 7 at noon. Launch offers include Rs. 1,000 instant discount on HDFC bank credit/debit card and EMI transaction. There’s also a 5 percent cashback offer with SBI and Flipkart Axis Bank credit cards.
