Motorola has launched the affordable Moto E22s smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS display, MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, and a 5000mAh battery, and runs on the near-stock version of the Android 12 operating system out of the box. Further, it comes with a face unlock feature and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

The Moto E22s features a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 Pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 12nm chipset paired with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 1TB via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, the Moto E22s sports a dual rear camera setup of a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, it has an 8-megapixel sensor on the front with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 163.95 x 74.94 x 8.49 mm and weighs 185 grams.
Pricing and availability
Moto E22s comes in Eco Black and Arctic Blue color options. It is priced at Rs. 8,999 for the single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant and will be available to purchase via Flipkart and leading stores in India starting October 22, 2022.
