JioMart available on Android and iOS; crosses a million downloads on Google Play Store

Reliance Jio has recently launched the Android and iOS apps for its e-commerce platform JioMart. Now, the app has been downloaded by over a million users on the Google Play Store and is currently at the third position in top charts of shopping apps. Consumers who use both app, as well as the portal interface on different devices, can seamlessly migrate between the platforms with their login id and access their previous orders and cart items.

The JioMart Android app is available for smartphones running Android Lollipop (5.0) or above. On iOS, the app requires iOS version 10.0 or above and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. JioMart service is currently available in more than 200 cities and towns across the country and offers free delivery of groceries on all orders.

JioMart claims to offer a minimum discount of 5 percent on all products. The online grocery shopping platform accepts multiple modes of payments, including net-banking, credit/ debit cards, e-wallets, Sodexo Meal Card for foods and beverages, Rone loyalty points, and pay on delivery.

“JioMart is now focused on scaling its geographical reach and delivery capabilities. JioMart is obsessed with providing convenience and a superior shopping experience to consumers. In addition to grocery, we will expand JioMart to cover electronics, fashion, pharmaceutical and healthcare in the days ahead. In the coming years, we will cover many more cities, serve many more customers across India, and expand to many more categories.”

During the recent AGM of RIL, Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani had said

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has announced the collaboration with WhatsApp to help people in buying products from JioMart effortlessly. He also stated that the JioMart and WhatsApp will work closely to create new opportunities for the local Kirana stores and consumers.
