The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is working on operationalization the use of CollabFiles in its office. The Department last month took the decision to use the software package CollabFiles. The IT wing of DoT has already completed the first step of onboarding to CollabFiles.

The NIC developed a web-based, cloud-based, and scalable platform that helps create and manage documents and spreadsheets in a collaborative mode with strategic control. This allows Government users to use the platform through secured and privileged access through Government’s SSO platform.

CollabFiles will offer much-needed data security with the added advantage of collaborative features. The data collected through CollabFiles can be directly integrated with the Tejasvi platform for visualization and development of Dashboard.

The Department is working on compiling the user data in order to port it to the CollabFiles platform. The division heads and organization unit heads were requested by DoT to submit the employee data after compiling the user data.
