The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) yesterday offered an extension to submit the compliance of Letter of Intent (LOI) for grant of Internet Service Provider (ISP) under Unified License (UL) and Unified License (VNO) in the wake of COVID-19.
The letter was addressed to concerned applicant companies who applied for Internet Service Provider (ISP) authorization (category A, B & C) under Unified License and Internet Service Provider (ISP) authorization (category A, B, & C) under Unified License (Virtual Network Operators). The applicant companies who have been issued Letter of Intent (LOI) by DS Cell, DoT HQs and we’re required to submit LOI compliance to their respective LSAs mentioned in the LOI issued to the applicant companies.
The Telecom Department has offered an extension till 15th September 2021 for respective applicant companies who were issued Letter of Intent (LOI) after/on 15th March 2021 and on/before 15th June 2021.
With regard to above-mentioned subject, concerned applicant companies applied for Internet Service Provider (ISP) authorization (category A, B & C) under Unified License and Internet Service Provider (ISP) authorization (category A, B & C) under Unified License (Virtual Network Operators), and have been issued LOI by DS cell,DoT HQs. Further, the companies who have been issued LOI were required to submit LOI compliance to their respective LSAs as mentioned in the LOI issued to the applicant companies.
Keeping in view of the current pandemic COVID-19 situation and subsequent lockdown/curfew in various parts of the country , the Applicant companies who have been issued Letter of Intent (LOI) for ISP authorization under UL and UL(VNO) after/on 15.03.2021 and on/before 15.06.2021, are granted an extension for submission of LOI compliance to respective LSAs till 15.09.2021
