Bharti Airtel bags MSC codes to meet 2 million subscribers demand in North East India
DoT has in the last fortnight issued MSC codes for 3 million subscribers demand in 3 different circle.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) today allocated a new set of MSC codes to Bhart Airtel to meet one million subscribers demand each in Assam and North East. The allocation comes after the telecom giant requested DoT for the allocation of MSC codes.
DoT has vide a notification today issued two sets of MSC codes for Bharti Airtel in Assam and North East LSA. In Assam, Bharti Airtel has been allocated 84530-84539 ACCESS-MSC Code series to meet the demand of 1 million subscribers. In North East, Bharti Airtel has been allocated 87980-87989 ACCESS-MSC Code series to meet the demand of 1 million subscribers.
The allocation of MSC code can be used by the telecom service provider except for the active subscribers of Reliance Communications/Reliance Telecom and other port out subscribers if any.
“In consideration to the requests of M/s Bharti Airtel Ltd., the undersigned is directed to convey the allotment of MSC codes.Aforementioned Series may be used by TSP except for the active subscribers M/s Rcom/RTL and other port out subscribers (if any),” said DoT in a notification.
DoT earlier this month allocated new set of MSC codes to Reliance Jio to meet the demand of one million subscribers in the Maharashtra telecom circle.
