DoT extends due date of payment of demand note for Spectrum Auction 2022
Successful bidders get one extra day to submit payment owing to bank holiday in Mumbai and Maharashtra on 16th August.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on Wednesday revised the due date of payment regarding the demand note pertaining to Spectrum Auction 2022. The Telecom Department had previously issued demand note in respect of successful bidders won in Spectrum Auction 2022 on 5th August.
The successful bidders were supposed to make the payment within 10 calendar days of issue of demand note. The initial due date of payment was 16th August 2022. The Telecom Department has now revised the due date of payment from 16th August 2022 to 17th August 2022.
“In respect of Demand Note under reference, on account of 16.08.2022 being Bank Holiday in Mumbai and Maharashtra, the competent authority has decided to revise the due date of payment from 16.08.2022 to 17.08.2022,” said DoT in its notice.
The revision in due date of payment is on the account of 16th August being bank holiday in Mumbai and Maharashtra. The bank holiday on 16th August in Mumbai and Maharashtra is on the occasion of Parsi New Year.
