DoT launches online module for demand studies on direct assignment of spectrum to CNPNs

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has launched a module on the Saral Sanchar portal for carrying out demand studies to assess the demand for direct assignment of spectrum to CNPNs.

The enterprises willing to set up CNPNs and obtain spectrum directly from DoT have been invited to participate in the exercise. The eligible and willing enterprises can submit the required details such as ownership, net worth, proposed locations, spectrum requirement in various bands etc. The portal has been linked with MCA 21 portal to verify the credentials of the enterprise.

The details can be submitted on the portal from 10th August to 9th September 2022. Participation in the exercise will not entitle the enterprise to any claim for any spectrum assignment. The submission shall not be considered in the demand study if any discrepancy is observed in the information submitted by the enterprise.
