Dixon Technologies India today announced that it entered into an agreement with HMD India for the manufacturing of Nokia smartphones in India. The company’s wholly owned subsidiary Padget Electronics will commence the manufacturing of Nokia smartphones as HMD Global’s manufacturing partner in India as part of the agreement.
Padget Electronics Private Limited has entered into an agreement with HMD India for the manufacturing at Padget’s manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Commenting on this occasion, Mr. Atul B. Lall, Vice Chairman & Managing Director – Dixon said, “It gives us immense pleasure to announce that we have partnered with HMD Global as manufacturers of Nokia smartphones in India, which is an iconic brand. They have established a strong and trusted foothold globally thanks to their advanced technology. We are sure that with their vision and stringent industry-leading processes, combined with our expertise in manufacturing, we will be able to bring a range of Nokia smartphones to customers.”
This is the second big agreement Dixon has entered into with smartphone brands in the last 30 days with Dixon in 2020 end announcing an agreement with Motorola for the manufacturing of its smartphones in India. Motorola smartphones will also be manufactured at Padget Electronics’ manufacturing facility situated in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
