YouTube launched it's Standalone app called YouTube Gaming in 2015. Recently Google said that YouTube Gaming is becoming more popular and that's why in order to keep everything together they have started creating separate Gaming section in YouTube app.

Google said that the features YouTube Gaming are integrated in Main YouTube app. The YouTube Gaming app will shut down in 30 May, users using that app are being taken to Gaming section of YouTube app.
