I want to clarify few things

1. Jio won't give STB for new users opting for Bronze or Silver Packs. If you want STB then user need to take Gold or above pack
2. After 30days, if user wishes they can downgrade to Bronze pack.
3. In Bronze & Silver plans as OTT apps not included you can't watch even FTA channels. You need Gold or above plan to watch even FTA channels.
4. If you take Gold or above pack we can watch Star, Sony,Zee, Viacom, Sun network and roughly around 30 FTA channels.

Finally, last and best thing Yes you can install JioTV App on STB and can watch 650+ live channels but the app won't work through remote you need wireless mouse. You need to sideload JioTV APK as it is not available officialy on Jio Store.

So, for users who need Only Internet & Live TV they can take Bronze pack.

Not officially, you can sideload but it's not the same experience that you would have with an officially supported app.

Yes, Jio has everything ready to launch IPTV but it is not economical because even IPTV service need to follow TRAI rules. We need to select channels bouquets & Alacarte for IPTV also just like regular DTH/Cable services.

So, to avoid TRAI rules JIO came up with 2 ways to provide LIVE TV channels

1. By partnering with major OTT apps like Hotstar, Zee5, SunNxt, Voot, Sonyliv through those apps live tv is provided but user need to take Gold or above pack to avail this service.
2. Jio partnering with local cable services like Hathaway, Siti, Den etc we can take any cable service and connect the cable to Jio STB. Here we need to pay according to TRAI prices only on bright side as its a standard cable service we can watch live tv even when Jio Fiber plan is expired.

There isn't any JioTv app in the Jio Fiber STB, neither you can install it by yourself from anywhere. But there is JioTv+ especially designed for Jio Fiber STB which shows aggregated contents of all the OTT apps at one place.

No you cant. The youtube video is Old One. But now After software upgrade we cant sideload thirdparty apps.

Ordered a new connection. Tomorrow installation. Dealer said only 999 or above plan is available for set top box. I disagreed. He doesn't have any info about Netflix/new stb. Eagerly waiting.
