Discussion Jio phone's Rs.75 truly unlimited calling plan is the cheapest in India

Its better for Jio to tieup with BSNL and launch unlimited calling plan@75/- for 2G phones and avoid to launch new or sell these crap Jio phones with less charging.
That will not be possible because Jio would need to pay BSNL for the intra circle roaming agreement (ICRA) and that would make it unviable for Jio to be able to offer unlimited calling at 75rs/month. The reason it is giving that tariff for Jio phone is coz it wants customer stickiness from the low end users which are price sensitive and would switch easily if the handset was not locked to its network. Jio will gradually increase the 75 to 99 for unlimited calling and maybe a basic 4 GB data approx 1GB/week.

BSNL has aleady implmented unlimited calling by removing FUP.

Currently in bsnl u can get unlimted calling at rs 92/28days. which i feel is very much cost effective. along with 2gb data.
see calulation below

BSNL is running offer from last 2 months .
PV1499 is given to GP2 ( grace period 2) customer at rs1199. and this pv offers 365 days unlimted calling and 24gb data for 365 days.100sms.day
this 1199/365 * 28 days comes to rs92/28days. Till last month some jio user were paying rs20 top-up to get 2gb data

thus if we compare jio 75 plan which offer unlimited calling and 100MB/day. and 50sms per day

Rs1199 is much comparable for any 2g/3g/4g handset user.

Now You may ask this is for only GP2 customers. any BSNL customer whose current PV/STV validity ends then he should volentarirly doant make any recharge for next 7days and also consume main balance to below rs2. then on 8th days BSNL will shift that user to GP2 validity then he can immediately make rs1199.

Currently 1199 valid till 31st march, so all BSNL User whose PV/STV is getting over before 22nd March can make PV1199 on 31st march and enjoy .

JIOphone user can also make PORTING request to bsnl and allow voluntary push to gp2 before 22nd march to be eligible for PV1199.
