Micromax has launched a new smartphone under its Canvas Unite series, called the Canvas Unite 4 Plus. The smartphone is priced at Rs 7,999. The smartphone will be available in white, grey silver and champagne color variants. The key features of the smartphone are 4G support, fingerprint scanner and Indus OS 2.0, which is already available on the Canvas Unite 4 and Canvas Unite 4 Pro.
The Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Plus comes with a full-metal body and a fingerprint scanner which is embedded on the home button. The Indus OS also features an app store in regional language, Indus-to-Indus free messaging services, Indus Swipe feature and more. The smartphone comes with some pre-installed apps like Gaana, Hike, Ixigo cab, Milive, Quikr, Scandid, Operamini, scandid, Skype, Snapdeal to name a few.

The Canvas Unite 4 Plus flaunts a 5-inch (1280X720) HD display with Corning Gorrila Glass 3 protection on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card.
On the camera front, the smartphone will come with an 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus at the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.The smartphone is powered by a 2,500mAh which the company claims delivers standby time of 281 hours and talktime of 20 hours. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G LTE. On the software front the smartphone runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 out-of-the-box.
Looking at the specifications, the Canvas Unite 4 Plus will compete with the likes of Intex Aqua Secure , Reliance Digital LYF Wind 4 and the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi 3s . While the Unite 4 Plus comes with 4G LTE support, the mentioned rival phones come with VoLTE support as well.
