To be honest, no one is proud of software on Mi TV. Some say it is buggy, for some, it is inferior. There were not many options when I bought it. Now that is not the case. There is Motorola ( haven't heard much of them after the launch ), TCL, Kodak etc. Some adore Vu for reasons of their own. Go to a shop, see models for real. Mainly, the quality of the panel and after-sales support. You can always get a Chromecast or Firestick for the software needs.

I find no issues in software. Only con of Mi TV's are its speakers.

Thankfully, my TV is working fine. But when you look at Twitter and their forum, there are many bug reports and complaints. Most of them are related to the software. Looks like only the latest models are top-notch. They might have perfected from their experience.

That's not true. All Google supported models are properly optimized. Even multitasking in android models are fine. People pay less and expect Sheild TV like experience. Give them Fire TV. They would still complain.

They are wise enough. Now they got the say about all those complaints. Otherwise, people will go to forums like this where they have no control. But yes, you are right, that is kind of noble.
