Mi TVs mainly lack 3 apps across various models

1. YouTube

2. Amazon Prime

3. Netflix

New versions of MI tv with patchwall OS 2.0 is coming with prime and netflix. YouTube is available by default if your tv is android os.

Guys need your inputs. Is it true that full HD (1080 pixels) MI TV with patchwall os supports only 720p ? . Heard from one other forum that this is done to improve the app efficiency.

They couldn't be more wrong. Everything mostly plays from 1080p resolution by default.

It was not Android TV OS before. I got the update. But there are still some models that are on Patchwall 1.0.

YouTube shows it is playing 1080p. 1080p videos on VLC also work great. I guess that is just misinformation or something they fixed through a patch.

All models are in Android TV OS now except the first gen 55 inch model.

I am using since they launch in 2018. Content is always pushed in Full HD on all models.

Good to know. I heard there still 4A models which have not received the Pie update. And there are some models which still does not support Netflix and Amazon Prime. The last series they launched kind of ironed old faults.

There is a reported bug. Where tv displays 720p even when 1080p plays.
