Not only Jiostar channels they can provide other channels similar to Airtel. As Airtel's plans pricing are also same as Jio except a couple. If Airtel can do Jio can also do.
Airtel gives Rs.350/-DTH/iptv complimentary (Rs.250 for pay tv with NCF of Rs.100), so you can select some pay channels only within Rs.250/-, you have to pay for any additional channel requirement. Jio Star have 100+ pay channels values Rs.500/-as per NTO prices, which they can offer complimentary and can charge for other broadcasters channels in iptv.

Once the IPTV service is rolled out through the live TV tab, the Jio Tv+ service providing free access to live channels through respective OTTs will be shut. You will get relief from the redirection and will have DTH style channel switching but it won't be free.
No already they're charging ₹200 for the entertainment combo - Fiber Plan + OTT combo. They can provide Live TV (IPTV) in that Price only similar to what Airtel is doing. They can shut down Jiotv+ if they provide similar to Airtel.

The amount they are charging for the entertainment combo is for the OTT app subscription, the live channels are being provided by the OTT apps themselves. Going forward both the broadcasters as well as distributers will look to increase their revenue, at this point the broadcasters will remove the live feed from their OTT apps and the distributers will switch to IPTV format which comes under the TRAI NTO. This will give them one more avenue to charge apart from the OTT apps. Yes the bundling of broadband, IPTV and OTT will come at a significant discount but to expect them to provide the new service without any increment in price is being shortsighted IMHO.

So it need JioID account to login and various app subscription will manage via that account. Current Version JioTele OS 2.0 & Build v00.00.69.64. Well it has dedicated jiotv+ app and reviewer was saying it will need jiotv+ subscription to play channels.🤔 Jio app store and hello jio voice assistant is exactly same as jio stb.

Tomorrow will they also lock only Jio internet like Jio SIM Locked phones?

Giving Jio Store in Jio STB is fine.
But why we have to purchase a TV around Rs.20000 which is not having Play Store?l
All the apps are not available in Jio Store and we can't expect all the App Developers will provide their App to Jio Store.

Many Good Apps like Yupp Tv Scope which provides good free tv channels and newly introduced App like Tentkotta are not available
