i remember where i used to recharge 256Rs for just 1gb data with 28 days validity few years ago before jio came in... and airtel with their confusing packs with different validity and different rate cutters. on an average i was paying Rs 350 - 500 per month. Those days only postpaid connection were cheaper when compared to prepaid as we dont have to add in so many packs. I am happy to pay more provided the prepaid plans with long validity and all in one plans are maintained rather than bringing in the old packs with multiple options.
Jio broke the data barrier, Local and STD barrier.

Recharging 333 , 444 , 555 will be at our risk now. As JIO announced price hike in December (mostly before one month from now) and if JIO comes with the unlimited calls again (If TRAI confirms zero IUC) , We need to wait for 2 months for the present IUC combo plan to get expired to get unlimited calls again(JIO informed that past recharges before October 10 will continue with unlimited calls. Same they will follow for their second price hike). Those who are waiting for unlimited calls again may need to wait for another month with 222 plan.
I am seeing in various wallet related offer , Huge discounts they are giving only on 444 plan not on 555 plan or 222 and 333 plan . It makes me to have this doubt.

What happens to users who recharges now with ₹1699 if IUC is removed in 2020?

This is really a bad time to recharge for a year.

Relax guys, Jio has already hiked the plan price. I don't see another hike of more than 15 to 20 % so so 444 will be hardly of 500 after hike. It's not too much if they retain all the existing benefits.

I was paying around ₹ 590 per month to Vodafone, recently ported to Jio so i will still be happy to have better service for three months at price of 500 ₹.
