Do you support the price hike by telecom operators?

If this is the definition of middle class then I belong to lower class.
Because I cant afford 300₹ per month mobile bill. Im paying only 158₹ for DTH bill after TRAI order.
Im watching TV from last 15 year with DDFD, I took connection of pay dth 2 year before only. You are talking about 6lac+ car 🤣.
Here I cant even afford 60k+ bike.
Then why I will support price hike. Why I will think about an operator??
You guyz only thinking about our operators but not thinking about poor people.
Not thinking about an operator's sustainability and only thinking about your pocket is like a woodcutter wanting to chop the same branch of the tree on which he is sitting, without thinking that he will fall with it. If the operator isn't able to run his business in a profitable manner he will have to shut shop and you will be left without options for wireless communication.
Sure the hike should be in a way that it does not affect the basic voice mobility users and shifts the major burden onto the heavy data users since the funds are required to build a high speed data network and only the ones using it should be taxed for it. But if you say I'm a middle class guy, give me lots of data and still charge me peanuts, that's unfair.

If Telecom Companies :----
1) will provide point 1 then they will not be able to achieve their targeted ARPU .
2) will provide point 2 then You all will not buy extra Data add-ons after your daily quota expires so telecom companies will be at a loss doing so.
3)will provide point 3 then You will not buy more and more Data add-ons after your daily quota expires and ultimately there will be decrease in revenue of the telecom company from the present scenario

Hence, Telecom Companies will not provide any of the above points as they are in huge debt in the present scenario
TATASKY punchline.... poochne main kya jaata hain (Whats harm in asking) ;)

Yeah, i am also a middle class guy and I don't think any middle class person can't afford paying 300 pm for phone bills (as they had been paying before Jio) for reasonable calls and data. Maximum middle class has TVs since 15 years+ and most of them already payed ₹250/pm and that was even before the TRAI regime. I think you got slightly confused at the definition of middle class. I cannot afford a BMW, Mercedes or even a 6lac + car which would have been a piece of cake for an upper class person. These things are luxuries. Cellular connection has always been a necessity though it cannot be said same for internet.
If internet is not necessity in today's era then can you tell me why
Govt is implementing Project like Bharat Net..which is said to be the Largest rural broadband connectivity programs in the world.
Internet is not like luxury or only for upper class people when we are moving towards Digital India..Internet now direct or indirectly plays important role in our day to day life. Internet is now basic need not any luxury. So every common man should have right to get high speed internet within their budget and at affordable prices.

Kerala becomes first Indian state to declare Internet a basic human right

Access to Internet is a basic right, says Kerala High Court

I need only data Only Plan.
No free call no sms at all. Just a Data only plan.
2 GB or 3GB per day plan or 60-80GB data Per month .
That's Enough.
Same...
I just want data. I very rarely call or message anyone.
The only thing that matters to me is DATA. I can do a Topup if I want to call someone. If they give such Data Only plans, then I am sold.

It seems the days of cheap data and free calls are over. Telcos refuse to provide clarity on Tariff hike- it is believed that they will move up in two phases. In the first phase, charges could be increased by telcos themselves. In the second round, the telecom regulator TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) may ask telcos to increase their call and data charges - since TRAI is reportedly revisiting the floor tariffs mechanism. Under the floor price concept, TRAI may set minimum and (possibly) maximum tariffs for all operators.
Your voice call rates may soon rise 67%; data to get 20% dearer

But do BSNL itself get a validity of 365 days?:knife2:
Even they don't know how long the company survive.
