In telecom there was huge competition. Same isn't the case in broadband.

People doesn't want to pay ₹500 for cable and DTH plan. Most people thinks about short term benefits in India. Not long term benefits. I just wanna know something. Very few people owns HD television in the country. What will be the purpose of getting an android box and high speed broadband?

There is no plan for TV. You buy connection and get complimentary subscription to their apps. They are somehow marketing Jio TV as a streaming service instead of an IPTV service.
Edit - I always felt broadcasters being stupid for dropping their channels from free dish. Instead they should have dropped from service providers TV apps. Then something could've been done.

What % of the population require (broadband) Internet?
If JIO wants to penetrate to TV viewers, they should provide TV only plans.
Majority population will be having just a CRT TV set in India still.
