Reliance Industries is aiming for million-plus Jio GigaFiber target households, the company said on Friday in its May 2020 Corporate Presentation. Reliance also said that it planned to target 99% of population coverage. The target is pretty ambitious...

This must be a propaganda piece since apparently Jio Fiber lost some number of subscribers recently, the count went down actually. :D

Yes, they lost 20K subscribers in b/w December - Jan bringing base down to 0.84 million from 0.86 million with a net addition of only 4K subscribers.

As for the piece, it is based on the Corporate Presentation of Reliance Industries wherein it has stated that it is targeting 20mm+ Jio GigaFiber target households.

As for propaganda, we do not believe in it.

Local cable operator plans are better than Jio fibre atleast in Kolkata circle with 60mbps true unlimited for ₹590(gst included) 😂.
60mbps unlimited is better than 100mbps 100gb fup.

Jio fiber has the best infrastructure probably yet they have come out with plans which are not that good.

They have implemented upload speed cap of 10% of plan speed and the plans themselves are costly with less FUP compared to, say, Airtel fiber.

Jio bosses should come to their senses and launch disruptive plans to capture the market and create good buzz for themselves amongst users.
