This comparison itself is funny,
Compassion of downloads airtel Xstream is for entire airtel user base and it their from long time
Tataplay even if it is available the target market base is different.
It is not affordability that matters value for money is the actual thing people consider.
If affordability is the main thing than in the market there more options and also piracy is more affordable
I agree with you about the availability app in platforms too.
But as you every time mention about mtv beats hd in Airtel tv the business strategy are different
Airtel feels mtv beats hd and some channels are not important and tataplay feels Apple TV is not important , simple.
And bro the simple tataplay binge is better value for money anytime when u compare it with airtel xstream not only xstream it is way better value for money when compared any aggregator
For 249 u will get hotstar, Apple TV , prime, Sony liv, zee 5, sun nxt and another app u want
This apps itself covers 80-90% market in India for just 249 u are getting 90% percent of quality content in India isn’t that value for money and affordable
In my opinion it is just blunder to compare airtel xstream and tataplay it’s like comparing cycle with car.
Buddy Tata Play Binge app is also available tp all lkke Airtel XSyteam Play do comparison is valid.
Both cater to mass as well as niche audience however Airtel till kow has focussed more on mass content apps particularly regional ones....very soon they shall also bring in more niche content on XStream Play Platform alongside launching various variants of its subscription plans
Both affordabilitu and content availability matters....if customer gets content they r looking for at good price then they will opt for it hence comes into play the important role of having customised plans which attrcat wider / different audience base
Also plz dont misquote me , i never said airtel has not added MTV Beats HD qs its important.... I infact highlighted the valid reason for its delay and mentioned that as both feeds play same content so until the updated RIO Agreements, LCN Realignment is done which is needed to add pending Viacom18 HD channels at current LCN Slots adjacent to its SD fedled till then Airtel is in no major urgency/haste to launch the HD feed
As far as value for money is concerned, again Airtel XStream Play scores over Tata Play Binge....in Binge one gets 6 apps to chose from at Rs. 249 while in XStream Play one gets all the apps at Rs. 149 plus mostly XStream Play subscription is provided complimentary with many of Airtel mobile, DTH, wi gi plans that too on recurring basis....once Airtel adds more niche apps on XStream Play Platform alongwith more subscription plan variants it shall further perform better and garner more subscribers
