Aha new thing.

Year 2022/23 they captured photos of fat no and cassette and upload through app.
That is still done. It's done by service people during the installation as proof of the work done.

My new connection request could not be processed by the sales person because the FAT series is not yet listed on their connection booking app hence my area shows "Not feasible" in red color.

Oh... Another waiting period I guess... :)

Final update:

Airtel Xstream Fiber service became live in my area yesterday. 😊
But technically you are right. Despite the LCO saying area is live now, the FAT box series is not yet listed on their connection booking app. So still some more stages left I guess.
Final update #2 (this time really final) 😅

This morning received several calls from different Airtel sales/service people saying service became officially live. Finally booked + installed via Airtel service person who assured on the spot booking + installation. The connection was booked and activated at the same time this afternoon. 🤩

I chose the AOT-5221ZY (wifi 6) ONT because Nokia ONT was out of stock. Apart from this Dasan ONT was available.

Separate thread with pics coming up shortly. ⚡

Edit: Thread posted! Good News - Bought Airtel Xstream Fiber Black (Fiber + IPTV) connection with AOT-5221ZY (wifi 6) ONT

Just saw another white FAT Box in my street. It is like 300-400m far from my house and the cable went from my house's direction to that FAT box.

I am wondering if they can bring cable back here from there? I think they will take the cable to the nearby area instead. ;-;

Long time ago, Jio did similarly to serve nearby colony but they didn't placed any FAT box in my area back then. It took them 2 years to start serving my area. 😔

One thing though, there are more (and bigger) houses near my house than where they have placed their FAT box. So, I am hoping they will bring it here too. ;-;

They can add FAT box later on where they have left some additional cable on loop. However, if there is no additional cable left near your house then it's unlikely they will add FAT box later on because they have to change the whole mainline to add more cable from the last FAT box.

I don't see any additional cable on loop there ;-; I guess they are skipping this then.

I don't understand why they added the box there though. There are only few old small houses near that. I guess they will bring cable again later then. 🤔

Here they have added FAT boxes near 'chai ki tapri' (tea stalls) and betel shops. There is also a FAT box installed where the whole area garbage is thrown. Do they see potential customers in such places or what! 😂 I don't know on what basis they do planning in such locations but often they skip good residential houses. 🙁

Yeah, doesn't make any sense here either. And this too is actually near the place where garbage is thrown.
