For the first time since I got the Airtel connection, my connection went down for around two minutes. The ONT indicator light was showing red (solid) when the net was down.

Till this evening, it provided literally 100% up time since the connection day. I am sure about this because I have power backup setup in place so the ONT stays online for many weeks or even months, until I manually reboot or disconnect it's supply.

On checking the ONT web management page, I found the following details:

PPPoE Last Disconnect reason: No response to 5 echo-requests

Maybe they carried some maintenance work. 👀

Heavy wind flow & thunderstorms with rain happened here this evening. Many trees have fall on the nearby streets. In between the storm, Airtel PPPoE seemed to be down.

PPPoE Last Disconnect reason: Terminating on signal 15

I don't know whether it was due to some fault happened on the tower/OLT or something else. I didn't notice any downtime because I wasn't using internet at that time.

This is second outage that happened since I took this Airtel connection. The good thing is that both the outages were so small/minor that they went unnoticeable (before we realize, the links comes back online). 😃

I have same ONT but I only see WAN mode and WAN status after 2.17 update. No PPPoE status.
Is it because I am using airtel's ONT and no additional router?
I don't think the Airtel web management page would change if we connect another router. I am not using bridge mode either. Just for extension purpose and more LAN ports connectivity I am using another router.

Maybe that is why I am not seeing pppoe status.
Unlikely bro. To check further, I disconnected the other router, restarted the Airtel ONT but still the PPPoE details appear. Both things are unrelated.

Maybe some problem in your device or it's firmware.

I am using Business Plan with static IP. Maybe that is why I am not seeing PPPoE status
here is my WAN result:

Now it's clear why your ONT web management page is missing PPPoE status.

Your's is a business connection that uses IPoE connectivity. PPPoE is turned off on your ONT.

For home connections like mine, it's the opposite. PPPoE mode is configured and IPoE is turned off.
