Finally seeing some development in Airtel Fiber expansion happening. ✌️
@Bapun bro, this is the only picture i can share as the cable is coming from above the building

I wish i could but its installed above on the terrace in the adjoining building, and i cannot get entry. I also really wanted to see.

Here as is said earlier, its not installed on light poles as local authorities are not allowing, hence its building to building.

I asked the local tech he said its a 8/16 port capacity FAT box.

Ok bro, no worries.

Update #4:

Airtel team came and installed Airtel Fiber FAT box right in front of my house pole this evening, where JioFiber FAT box was already installed. 🤩 🙌
Aha ... Nice ...

Wait for 7days to 15days 😁
Update #5:

Yesterday evening Airtel people again came and checked the optical power of every newly installed FAT box and uploaded it somewhere using their phone. I asked what they were doing to which they replied, they are doing NE. 👀

I also asked how much power coming in my nearest FAT box. They said it's between -18/-19. (y)

Time to be ready to apply for new connection.

Final update:

Airtel Xstream Fiber service became live in my area yesterday. 😊

You r the 1st customer? 😁
I was actually going to be the first customer in our area as I was applying for it through agent today but some problem occured.

When the agent choose my area, filled the RSU (first three digits of the FAT box) and FAT box number, the FAT series didn't showed up.

He then tried to enter nearby FAT box numbers which also didn't worked. He called someone and said FAT are not listed in the app so they tried whole a different area FAT number but I denied them to continue with that since it's optical fiber connection where FAT box / it's port is paired with connection and not AirFiber where they can show one location and install in the other. He insisted and said "kuch nahi hoga, aapka connection lag jayega", but I stepped back and said unless my nearest FAT box number is filled and show as "feasible", I won't continue then they went back and said will come once the FAT box is active.

Not final update yet. Final update will be about you getting your connection setup.
That will be a separate topic (thread). This thread is only about Airtel Fiber expansion hence I mentioned as final update.

But technically you are right. Despite the LCO saying area is live now, the FAT box series is not yet listed on their connection booking app. So still some more stages left I guess.
