Discussion Expansion of Jio & Airtel Optical Fiber no longer happening after the entry of AirFiber?

Finally seeing some development in Airtel Fiber expansion happening.

I'm from a small village in WB and I Can confirm that Airtel Xstream Fiber expanding rapidly. From last 5 years I'm using GTPL broadband and fed up with frequent disconnection issue. Last year June I've just casually applied for Xstream Fiber from Airtel app and surprisingly got a call from an airtel agent next day for installation booking. Paid ₹4300 including ₹1000 security deposit for 5 months recharge. Opted for ₹599+GST airtel black plan. Next day morning airtel technician visited my house and installed my connection got the Nokia router. Same day another airtel technician installed the DTH. Overall Connection Stability is top notch. In the last 7 months only Once my internet goes down that too because of Fat Box got burnt due to short circuit in electric pole. Also as I've Airtel Axisbank Credit Card I'm getting a sweet discount of 25% on my bill every month which brings down the cost to only ₹530.

Airtel guys here iny area are in dead sleep to expand network. By the our area is covered by BSNL , RAILWIRE, ACT and local broadband networks. This is also 5 years story only.

Airtel entered in my area through LCO partnership. But airtel have much strict control over LCO unlike local ISP. My LCO also provides connection of GTPL, Alliance Broadband, BSNL, Railwire, Wishnet. But airtel service is the best. In last 7 months I've forgot what internet downtime is .

Airtel entered in my area through LCO partnership. But airtel have much strict control over LCO unlike local ISP. My LCO also provides connection of GTPL, Alliance Broadband, BSNL, Railwire, Wishnet. But airtel service is the best. In last 7 months I've forgot what internet downtime is .

Thats why i am eagerly waiting for Airtel OFC.

I regularly get calls from Airtel local store as well as sales team and they try to push for AirFiber, which i deny. I told them clearly i want OFC only and if they are eager to get new customers then they have to expand and offer their services soon.

Airtel is expanding slowly but 100% they're doing in phases unlike complete stopping expansion like Jio which is very wrong

Jio was wrong, when unnecessary early investment in lower band 28 for 5G spectrum (700 Mhz), otherwise they can invest in expanding OFC.

40000 crore is peanuts for OFC expansion. We can rely on BBNL only for FTTH expansion. India needs 6Ghz to use it for FTTH really badly.
