Airtel entered in my area through LCO partnership. But airtel have much strict control over LCO unlike local ISP. My LCO also provides connection of GTPL, Alliance Broadband, BSNL, Railwire, Wishnet. But airtel service is the best. In last 7 months I've forgot what internet downtime is 😂.
I agree, even BSNL what i have is also through local LCO only. I also have forgot what internet downtime is. It depends on LCO not related to network.

Similar type of things I am also hearing from my LCO, i.e. Airtel's strict rules and control over the network/uptime etc. He was saying, unlike other ISP companies (he was referring to: BSNL, Railwire, Alliance, etc.), Airtel doesn't provide higher commission but they want proper work. Due to high competition in the market and customers' demand (and AirFiber entry of course!), he had to tie up with them despite all their strict work requirements. 🙈

I believe Airtel also signs some type of SLA (service level agreement) with LCOs so they maintain maximum possible uptime. If their link goes repeatedly or regularly down due to fiber cut or any other issue, the LCO will be negatively impacted.

In my town, the only part Airtel recently outsourced to a third party was OLT maintenance and major line maintenance. However, since it was not done properly, Airtel has now assigned its own team, which monitors the network 24/7. As a result, there is no more downtime. Additionally, they have started offering business connections here. Anyone with business proof can get one. The plan price is the same as the domestic plan, but it includes 10TB of FUP and, instead of OTT benefits, a free static IP. All of this was confirmed by the local Airtel representative.
