Why?

That is a tax-writeoff... Basically, they are following the same thing that HBO Max did recently for many of the titles including the hit HBO ones like Westworld...

Essentially, Bob Iger's return as CEO means, Disney is going back to their previous, pre-covid principles like Quality more than Quantity.. They are reducing the number of Titles commissioned for Disney Streaming Services everywhere including India... But Hotstar Specials's have so much already in Production, so, I doubt if they will slow down anytime soon though.

On the other-hand, they had to bin some of those Disney+ originals like The Mysterious Benedict Society and all because of the false reporting done by Bob Chapek and Kareem Daniel which eventually lead to their firing.

They have to pay the creative team only as long as this content is available on the platform. If they remove it, they don't have to pay.

This is much like the theatrical system.

Not new. It's available since 2021.

I was upgrading Super plan to Premium.. On the Plan page I found new plan named Super+Ads free plan priced @1099/-

No. Old plan. They give 100 offer for some users so effectively 999/yr.

In Sony LIV it have only premium plan But yearly plan only gives 4K ... monthly and 6 month plans of sonyliv premium doesn't give 4K resolution...

Now ₹1499 is too much compared to competition. Just look at Voot having Peacock, HBO, IPL, Olympics etc. They need to provide World Cup in 4K and desperately bid for BCCI's digital rights.

Yes, it should be neared to 800 - 1000. Even Amazon's Hollywood library shrank and rent/channel options creeped all over.
