Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the state-owned telecom service provider, has unveiled two new prepaid plans tailored for its users in the Chennai circle. The newly launched Rs 91 and Rs 288 plans are designed to provide users with data benefits. Notably, these plans lack service validity and necessitate users to have a base plan on their BSNL number before opting for these packs.
BSNL Rs 91 Plan
The BSNL’s Rs 91 prepaid plan targets users with minimal data needs, offering a short-term validity of 7 days. With this plan, subscribers receive 600MB of data allocation and an additional perk of 700 SMS. While the plan caters to those seeking a basic data package, it notably does not include any service validity, emphasizing its supplementary nature to existing base plans.
BSNL Rs 288 Plan
For users with more extensive data requirements, the company has introduced the Rs 288 prepaid plan, featuring an extended validity period of 60 days. This plan offers a daily data allowance of 2GB, providing customers with a more sustainable data package. Exceeding the daily data limit results in a reduced internet speed of 40 Kbps. Additionally, any unused data does not carry over to the next day but expires at the end of each day.
As of writing this story, both of the plans are only available for users in Chennai Circle and BSNL has not provided any details regarding their potential expansion beyond the Chennai Circle.
