Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 SE with 12th Gen Intel Core i9 processor, 17.3-inch WQHD display launched in India

Asus has launched the ROG Strix Scar 17 SE gaming laptop in India. The laptop features a 17.3-inch WQHD display, 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12950HX processor, Nvidia RTX 3080Ti laptop GPU, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and runs Windows 11 Pro operating system out of the box.

Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 SE features a 17.3-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) IPS display with a 240Hz refresh rate, 100-percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 3ms response time, Dolby Vision HDR support, and 300 nits of peak brightness. The laptop is powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12950HX processor paired with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080Ti 16GB GDDR6 laptop GPU, up to 4TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 storage, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is expandable up to 64GB via two extra RAM slots.

Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 SE includes a quad-speaker system with Smart Amplifier Technology and supports Dolby Atmos. Further, it has a built-in array microphone and comes with AI noise-canceling technology. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, an HDMI 2.1 port, two USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port with support for DisplayPort, power delivery, and G-SYNC, a 3.5mm combo audio port, RJ45 LAN port, and one Thunderbolt 4 support DisplayPort.

The laptop packs a 90Wh four-cell Lithium Ion battery that is claimed to deliver up to 8.5 hours of video playback on a single charge. It comes with a backlit chiclet keyboard with per-key RGB customization. Lastly, the ROG Strix Scar 17 SE measures 395 x 282 x 28.3mm and weighs 3 kilograms.
