Amazon India has started to merge two of its grocery delivery services Amazon Pantry and Amazon Fresh. All pantry products are being moved to Amazon Fresh and users trying to access Pantry are shown a message to open Fresh instead.
Previously, Amazon Fresh was available only in about 14 cities but after merging with Amazon Pantry it will be able to deliver in more than 300 cities across the country, however, availability of scheduled and next day deliveries will remain available for select cities only.
As mentioned earlier, users can no longer access Amazon Pantry, when opening any pantry product they will be automatically redirected to Amazon Fresh home page. Apart from this, to make the migration smooth Amazon has also integrated previously ordered Pantry items to Fresh, so that customers can reorder easily.
Amazon Pantry had a Rs 200 minimum order requirement while with Amazon Fresh customers have to place an order for at least Rs 300. Delivery charges for both services are similar, Prime members pay Rs 30 and regular users are charged Rs 59 for orders under Rs 800.
