Viacom18 owned OTT Voot after entering SVOD space had inked a deal with ViacomCBS’ ShowTime Networks to bring ShowTime’s originals on Voot Select in addition to the CBS Television Studios content. In December, the streamer set to bring Your Honour and The Stand exclusively.
Your Honor, an official adaptation of an Israeli drama series Kvodo starring Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston and Michael Stuhlbarg is about a respected New Orleans judge whose teenaged son is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit, and impossible choices. The series is also adapted in Hindi as Your Honor by Sony LIV. The series’s pilot is scheduled to premiere on December 7 with new episodes every Monday.
The Stand, based on Stephen King’s best-selling novel of the same name stars Whoopi Goldberg, Alexander Skarsgård, and James Marsden in the lead roles. The post-apocalyptic dark fantasy originally produced for CBS All Access (to be revamped as Paramount+) is scheduled to premiere on December 18 with new episodes every Friday.
Voot Select which offers International content from ShowTime, CBS TV Studios, access to Viacom18’s soaps 24 hours before the telecast, and Select Originals is priced at Rs. 499 annually.
