Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has launched its latest budget smartphone Redmi Note 9 in India on Monday. This is the third model in the Redmi Note 9 series after the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max that were announced in March this year.
The Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53-inch IPS full-HD+ punch-hole display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution, 19:5:9 aspect ratio and a maximum brightness of up to 450 nits. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and the device has p2i nano-coating for water-resistance.
It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, paired with up to 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage that can be expanded up to 512 GB using a dedicated microSD card.
There is the quad rear camera setup on the back consisting of a 48 MP primary sensor (Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1) with an f/1.79 aperture, 8 MP secondary camera with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, 2 MP macro lens with f/2.4, and a 2 MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. A 13 MP camera is present at the front for selfies and video calling.
The handset is having a 5,020 mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging and 9W reverse charging to charge other devices. 22.5 W fast charger is included in the box. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the back and it supports face unlock as well. 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are connectivity options available.

The Redmi Note 9 is priced at Rs 11,999 for 4 GB + 64 GB base variant, Rs 13,499 for 4 GB + 128 GB model and Rs 14,999 for the top 6 GB + 128 GB storage variant. It will be available in 3 colour options- Aqua Green, Arctic White, and Pebble Grey. The first sale of this smartphone will be carried on July 24 at 12 PM through Amazon India, Mi Store, Mi Home, and other partnered offline stores.
