Xiaomi launched its latest flagship smartphone the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India on Wednesday, April 27. This handset was first unveiled in its home market of China in December last year.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a premium design, curved edge-to-edge display, matt glass rear panel which is fingerprint resistant, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos sound, and Harman Kardon speakers.
It features a 6.72-inch WQHD+ E5 AMOLED display with 1,440×3,200 pixels resolution, HDR10+ 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 1500nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Under the hood, this device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, along with Adreno 730 GPU. It has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12. For heat dissipation, it is equipped with a large-sized VC liquid cooling unit.
There is a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 primary sensor, with an f/1.8 aperture, OIS, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom. It has a 32-megapixel selfie camera at the front.
It packs a 4,600mAh battery with 120W Xiaomi Hypercharge wired fast charging, 50W wireless turbocharging and 10W reverse wireless charging. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, Infrared blaster, NFC and a USB Type-C port.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is priced in India at Rs. 62,999 for the base 8GB RAM model and Rs. 66,999 for the 12GB RAM variant. It comes in Couture Blue, Noir Black, and Opera Mauve colours options. The sale for this smartphone will start at noon on May 2 via Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores and other partner retail outlets.
As part of an introductory offer, Xiaomi is offering a discount of Rs. 4,000 and buyers will also get an additional Rs. 6,000 discount on making payment through an ICICI Bank card or EMI. Apart from this, at the ‘Special Xiaomi Fan Sale’ at noon on May 1, existing Xiaomi and Redmi device holders can get a 100% discount of up to Rs. 20,000 on exchange.
