In January Vodafone had launched a new long term prepaid plan of Rs 997 for UP West circle but within less than a month since the launch the telecommunications service provider has withdrawn this plan.
The Rs 997 plan used to offer benefits like 1.5 GB data per day, truly unlimited local or national calls to any network and 100 local or national SMS messages per day for a validity of 180 days or six months. It also included Vodafone Play’s one-year subscription worth Rs. 499, and a one-year Zee5 subscription worth Rs. 999 for free.
Vodafone has also removed the All Rounder Rs 49 plan from the Mumbai circle. The Rs 49 was providing Rs 38 Talktime, truly unlimited calls to any network and 100 MB data with a validity of 28 days. Only Rs 39 and Rs 79 all-rounder packs are now available in the Mumbai circle which provides validity for 14 days and 28 days respectively.
With this move, the minimum monthly recharge required for Vodafone in Mumbai has increased from Rs 49 to Rs 79, which makes Vodafone costlier than Airtel who is providing 28 days validity along with Rs 38.52 Talktime and 100 MB data on its Smart Recharge plan of Rs 49.
