In February, a TRAI report revealed that the 2nd largest telecom operator of India, Vodafone Idea lost 3.6 million subscribers in December last year. To protect its sharply declining subscriber base, the company which is currently under extreme stress to pay AGR dues has on Sunday launched ‘Double Data offer’ on 3 of its most popular prepaid plans.
The cheapest plan eligible for this offer is the Rs 249 plan. This plan offers truly unlimited calls to any network with 1.5 GB data per day and 100 SMSes per day for 28 days. As part of the offer, subscribers will get an extra 1.5 GB data per day for free which means 42 GB data in total for free.
Earlier the Rs 399 plan was providing 1.5 GB data per day, truly unlimited calls and 100 SMS with a validity of 56 days but under this offer, it will now give 3 GB data per day thereby offering extra data benefit of 84 GB.
Similarly, the Double Data offer is applicable on Rs 599 plan also which gives 1.5 GB per day data, truly unlimited calls and 100 SMS for 84 days. With this offer applied customers will get 1.5 GB additional data at the same price. Total 126 GB additional data benefits are on this pack.
This offer is also available for Idea customers. Vodafone users opting for any of the above-mentioned plans get a free subscription to Vodafone Play and Zee5. The double data offer will be available for a limited period of time neither Vodafone nor Idea website mentioned the duration of the offer.
