Vodafone Idea has said that it will extend its quick recharge services to its 2G and feature phone users in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and UP East. The announcements were made over the last 3 days.
The facility is already live and can be used by customers using their registered mobile numbers. Vodafone customers can also recharge at Idea retail outlets, and Idea customers can avail recharge at Vodafone retail outlets.
VIL is also creating awareness through video links, GIFs, dockets that explain process for recharging. It is also communicating recharge process details through the My Vodafone app. It has asked its digital savvy customers to recharge for those who are no familiar with online recharging. Customers under the Recharge For Good offer can get upto 6% cashback on recharging other numbers.
VIL says that its 2G customers can access the quick recharge feature through missed call or SMS. It has tied up with SBI, ICICI, Axis, Kotak, and IndusInd Bank for quick recharge through SMS. HDFC Bank is offering both quick recharge via SMS and missed call.
Ther service will help customers who are unable to recharge from retail stores due to the lockdown. Vodafone had earlier announced the enabling of services in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, North East, and Assam.
