Vi is offering its new postpaid customers in select markets its Entertainment 299 plan which is the cheapest entry-level postpaid plan in certain circles. The postpaid plan which was earlier named RED Basic 299 has recently been renamed as Entertainment 299 plan in its terms and conditions documentation for postpaid plans.
Regulatory filings from Vi indicate that the postpaid plan was last modified on 8th September, a day after the Vodafone Idea brand made way for the brand new ‘Vi‘ brand.
Vi’s Entertainment 299 plan is available for new acquisitions of select markets. The markets include Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Orissa, Assam and North East. The aforesaid postpaid is only available at Vi Stores and cannot be availed digitally.
Vi’s Entertainment 299 plan offers 20GB high speed data with data roll over upto 50GB. The postpaid plan which has a monthly rental of Rs 299 offers unlimited local and STD calls, national roaming apart from 100 local and national SMS.
The postpaid plan offers 12 months subscription to Vi Movies and TV. It does not offer Amazon Prime subscription which is limited to Vi’s postpaid plans above the Rs 499 threshold.
