Vi partners with Xiaomi India to offer 5G experiences to users

The partnership will allow Xiaomi and Redmi smartphone users to enjoy an enhanced experience on the Vi 5G network once the services are launched.

Telecom service provider Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced its partnership with Xiaomi India to provide its consumers with seamless 5G connectivity. According to the telco, the partnership will allow Xiaomi and Redmi smartphone users to enjoy an enhanced data experience on Vi 5G network once the services go live.

A total of 18 Xiaomi and Redmi devices were tested on the Vi 5G network. These smartphones will support Vi 5G after the firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) updates. Users can also change the preferred network settings from 4G to 5G once Vi launches the 5G services commercially.

Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones enabled with Vi 5G include Xiaomi 13 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 5G, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11X Pro, Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G, Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, Redmi 11 Prime 5G, Redmi K50i, Redmi Note 11T 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Mi 11X, Mi 10, Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, and Mi 10i.

“In pursuit of a connected tomorrow and to unlock the boundless potential of 5G in India, Xiaomi, and Vi are coming together to empower their consumers with an unfiltered 5G network on their devices. Xiaomi India and Vi have extensively tested the network in New Delhi across Xiaomi and Redmi 5G devices,” the company said.

Further, Vi is working with technology leaders, domain experts, start-ups, and device OEMs to develop India-specific 5G use cases for consumers and enterprises. Last month, Vi partnered with Motorola to enable Vi 5G support on several Motorola smartphones.

but to retain, they need investment in network, which means extra money.

but last 6month vi cant able to grab single sinvestor, nor promoter.

so vi think they can make themself 5G ready so new investor can put his/her hard money to make vi floating.

its like put less than crores to show potential to get capital worth 100 cores.
