Vi is offering 50GB extra on Rs 1499 prepaid plan to select customers

Vi (formerly Vodafone Idea) is seemingly offering extra data on its Rs 1499 annual prepaid plan which seems to be customer specific for the time being with select Vi customers able to view the offer within the My Vi app.

Vi’s Rs 1499 prepaid plan normally offers 24GB high speed bulk data, unlimited calling to any network in the country, 3600 SMS, and access to Vi Movies and TV along with a service validity of 365 calendar days. However, as a New Year Flash Sale Vi said to have added 50GB data extra to the prepaid plan offering 74GB data in total on the Rs 1499 prepaid plan.

We were unable to spot the offer on two different Vi Delhi numbers but Vi users on Twitter and our community forums were able to spot the offer within the MyVi app.

A Vi customer on Twitter who recharged with the plan after seeing the message however didn’t receive any extra data who ended up expressing his frustration on Twitter. The Vi customer also received promotional SMS from Vi’s end terming the offer as a New Year Flash Sale offer apart from promotional banners within the MyVi app on the landing page.
